PuckLuck Primer 10/24/22

New week, new PuckLuck? We're consistently adding tools to help you with your NHL betting and fantasy hockey experience, and we'll be rolling out some more cool things this week.


Our new line matchups page under the "Fantasy" tab will allow you to decipher which lines have the easiest and toughest matchups of the day. There's always talk about "shutdown lines", and this is an innovative look into which matchups could actually be a problem. It also is an easy way to find lines to stack in daily fantasy, as we rank the lines based on the entire day's slate of games.


Also on its way this week are our trends and fades picks. Now that we're starting to gather enough data, we're able to follow certain trends - hot or cold - for each team on the moneyline, puckline, game totals, home, and away. I know a lot of you like to bet the hot hand or fade the numbers on a cold team, so this will help you find those spots to take full advantage.


I should also probably address the elephant in the room - the pick of the day. We started the season 4-10 on something that was up around 59% last season. Tough sledding? Yes. Time to worry? Not yet. There will be up and down swings throughout the season, but our approach has been the same for three seasons now with great success. We'll rebound.
