PUCKLUCK CUP 2025

RULES AND REGULATIONS

PREMISE

  • Participants face off in a bracket-style tournament to see who is the most successful hockey bettor of the NHL playoffs!

HOW TO PLAY

  • Each participant is given one "unit" to place one single bet that day.

  • These "units" and "entries" are not real, rather, just a means of tracking bets throughout the competition.

  • These “bets” can be from any legal sportsbook in the participant's area. If the participant does not have a legal sportsbook inthe area to reference, we have alternative options for the participant to reference bets from.

  • A participant's submission will be made official via X (formerly Twitter), where the participant will tweet a screenshot of the entry with a brief message.

  • All submission posts must include the hashtag #PuckLuckCup, as well as tagging PuckLuck.com's official X account (@PuckLuckdotcom) and the sponsor’s X account (@fatteybeer).

  • Participants are also encouraged to share via other social media platforms that they have an audience on, including Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, etc, and engage and interact with their opponents. So check your favorite social platform using the hashtag #PuckLuckCup.

SCORING

  • A losing entry results in the loss of one unit. An entry is considered a losing entry if the pick has a failed result.

  • Also, if a participant fails to submit an entry on a day with one or more games scheduled, it will result in an automatic loss of one unit.

  • A push results in zero units won or lost. An entry is considered a push if it is not a losing pick but also not a winning one.

  • A winning entry results in a corresponding amount of units won, based on the sportsbook odds at the time of submission.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • A bracket-style tournament, where the participants will compete head-to-head in their matchups for that round.

  • The first round will conclude when the first round of the NHL playoffs concludes.

  • The second round will begin the day following the conclusion of the first round and end when the second round of the NHL playoffs conclude, and so forth.

  • The leaders of each matchup at the end of each round will advance to the next round until a winner is determined.

  • Leaders will be determined based on return on investment, which in this case will be the most "units" earned since we're using fixed units.

  • In the event of a tie, the percentage of winning entries will be the tiebreaker, and, if still tied, a game of chance will break the tie.
